When taking lessons at Blue Moon we provide the horse, the tack, and the helmet.

some lessons will be on the horse and some lessons will be barn lessons focused on learning about the horse, it's anatomy, the proper care and much more.
Lesson Policy :

Students must be here at least 15 minutes prior to their lesson. Is your child is not ready, he/she will loose riding time. Lessons last 45 minutes to an hour and clean up takes approximately 30 minutes.

If you need to cancel a lesson you must do so 24 hours in advance.

If you scheduled a lesson and you no show no call, call ½ hr. prior your lesson, you will be charged for a lesson and another lesson will not be given until payment is received. If you do not get a person on the telephone, feel free to leave a message on the barn's phone 817-578-8881.
Dress for riding :

 

  ASTM/SEI approved safety helmet (properly fitted, with chin strap    fastened)
 Riding boots with a definite heel of at least ½" (paddock shoes, a    hiking boot, lace up ropers are all good choices)
 Long fitted pants that don't wrinkle, rub or bind
 Top that is either fitted and short (slightly below the waist) or a top    that can easily tuck in
 No loose scarves, earrings that dangle, or shirts tied around the waist
 No candy or gum in your mouth while riding for risk of choking

TUESDAY thru SATURDAY
Thursday & Saturdays are open for morning, afternoon and evening lessons
Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday are open for lessons from 3:00 pm till 8:00pm

Group lesson: 3 people and up $25.00
  4 prepaid lessons $90.00
Semi Private: up to 2 people $30.00
Private lesson: 1 person $35.00
  4 prepaid lessons $130.00
For our experience riders: Ride our horses, no lesson,On our property, by appt.Must be paid in advance $150.00/month unlimited or
    $20 for each ride
Ground Fee: Come with your horse, no
lesson, by appt. Must be
paid in advance

$15.00 for each horse
